What are your thoughts about McCain choosing Palin as his Vice President? Agree or Disagree with his choice. Why do you think he made his choice of a women who has been a senator for a country of such a low poplutation and coming from a state such as Alaska? How do you think Palin will handle the pressures of becoming the VP in the future?

I'm not quite sure about my thoughts on John McCain picking Palin to be his running mate.I think it was a brave decision because it could make or break him. Many think that the ones that planned to vote for Clinton will vote for him now..but right after he announced that Palin was his choice a representative for Obama said that since McCain and Obama have such different views on things that he doesn't believe McCain choosing a female running partner will not swing the vote very much. My mom said that she was kind of offended when he chose her because she thinks that he chose her just to get the female voters.
I don't think McCain would make a bad decision on choosing who he wants to be running mates with, but having 5 kids and one being pregnant is a lot to handle and that makes you question her even more. I do think that she is a strong candidate but i don't know if she could handle all the pressure especially now when our economy and world are suffering so badly.
I didnt think John was this bold to just go out and pick Palin as a running mate knowing that this could either help him reach people who would nevr even considering to vote for him now seeing him as a president who can alo go down in the history books as the first president with a female vice president, but then again it could turn some republican voters away considering the fact that they would be offended by the fact that he picked a woman just to grab a little attention away from Obama during the Democratic Convention. Real gutsy to say the least.I think its both a gimmick and a smort choice, a smart gimmick if you will.
I think McChain pick Palin to get most of the women who was for Hilary to vote for him.
